Abstract: This study explores the dynamic relationship between dramaturgical choices and audience interpretation in the realm of theater. Dramaturgy, the art of crafting and presenting theatrical texts and performances, serves as the focal point for analyzing how audiences from diverse backgrounds perceive and engage with theatrical productions. Drawing on interdisciplinary perspectives from theater studies, cultural analysis, and audience reception theory, this investigation delves into the complex interplay of cultural context, historical perspective, social relevance, aesthetic preferences, and interpretive frameworks that shape audience responses to dramaturgical choices. By examining case studies, theoretical frameworks, and empirical research, this study aims to deepen our understanding of the transformative power of live performance and the ways in which dramaturgy influences audience interpretation.
