TRANSLATE IDIOMS ENGLISH TO UZBEK

Abstract

Abstract: This study explores to find out the similarities, the differences, and the learning problems in a particular context, through a contrastive analysis. The purpose of this research is to know the accuracy of idiom translation and strategies that are used by the translator in translating the idiom into English to uzbek. In translator training the process of planning and implementing the teaching process and the design of teaching materials should be dynamic and flexible. With the future purpose to design teaching materials for idiom translation, this study purposes, to explore those characteristic of idioms whivh might cause difficultieswhen translating them and some of the various classifications of idioms.
