This article explores the trends shaping the growth of these platforms, including the increasing demand for convenient and flexible learning options, the integration of AI and machine learning technologies for personalized instruction, and the globalization of English as a lingua franca. Additionally, it examines the effectiveness of online English learning platforms in comparison to traditional classroom settings, considering factors such as learner engagement, proficiency outcomes, and cost-effectiveness.
