Abstract: This article explores the cultural significance of Jane Austen’s heroines through a literary analysis of her novels. Austen’s heroines are found to be complex and multidimensional characters, who challenge the societal norms and expectations of their time. The article also examines the impact of Austen’s heroines on contemporary culture, including their influence on feminist literature and popular media. Through an exploration of the themes of love, marriage, and class in Austen’s novels, this article argues that her heroines continue to hold relevance and significance in modern society.Abstract
